Starting a New Statistics Problem

When you start a new statistics problem that does not use any previously entered data values, being by clearing the statistics registers and selecting 1- or 2- variable statistics. Clearing the statistics registers does not affect any values stored in the calculator's data register memories. However, the t-register is cleared.

The Number of Variables

In 1-variable statistics, a data value is represented as xn, where n = 1, 2, ..., N. (N is the total number of data values).

In 2-variable statistics, a data value is represented as (x
n,yn). The x value is the independent variable, and the y value is the dependent variable.
