Prime Factors
You can use the calculator to determine the prime factors of a whole number.
Calculating Prime Factors
Selecting { PF } from the NUMBER FUNCTIONS menu finds the lowest prime factor of the displayed value. To use the PF function:- Enter the number.
- Press [ NUM ] and select { --> }.
- Select { PF }. The least prime factor is displayed and the remaining value is stored in the t-register (temporary register).
- Press [ x~t ]. The remaining value is displayed.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the result is 1.
