Signum Function

Selecting { SGN } from the NUMBER FUNCTIONS menu determines the sign of the number in the display and results in either a 1 or -1, depending on the sign. If the value in the display is 0 or greater, the result of the signum function is 1. If the value in the display is less than 0, the result of the signum function is -1.

For example, if the display contains -0.941863 and you press [ NUM ] { --> } { SGN }, the calculator displays -1.
